''Cophixalus petrophilus'', the blotched boulder-frog, is a species of frog from the Cape York Peninsula (Queensland, Australia) that was described in 2013.〔('Lost world' discovered in remote Australia ) AFP October 27, 2013〕 The name of the frog means "rock-loving" and it mountain rainforest boulder fields of Northern Queensland. The frogs feed and breed during the summer wet season rains. The area is described as dark, cool and moist during the dry season. It is one of three newly described vertebrate species from Cape Melville, Australia. == Description == This frog lives in the lower levels of the rainforest and live in the vegetation.
